Ryder was such a handful today.. more than usual probably because I was trying desperately to clean out all of our closets and get our laundry under control.. so of course he was acting out for my attention so every 15 minutes or so I would take a break and play hard and then go back to cleaning while he followed me around the house pulling out whatever I was putting up... about 2:00 I was carrying really heavy tiles from a top shelf in the closet and moving them when I stepped on one of those cheap white curtain rods the medal kind... as soon as I stepped on it I thought I had sliced my toe off the pain was soo awful I thought I was going to throw up. By the time I made it to the bathroom I expected to see blood everywhere and surprisingly there was NONE so I thought oh well it must not have been that bad... then I looked down.. what did I see??? BONE!! I went back to the curtain rod and sure enough a big chunk of skin was still hanging off of it!!

Mischevious little boy..
I wonder sometimes how Ryder's brain thinks... is it because he's a boy or because he's just got some crazy blood running through him thanks to his Daddy.. and well maybe a little from his Mommy... This is what a little bit of my day looked like today....
Ryder figured out how to pull his jeep up to the countertops, stand up in it, and open up the silverware drawer... He found out Mommy comes looking for him when he's quiet for more than a minute.. this is what I found...
I also realized that boys will be boys and I guess he was a little TOO interested in how juice comes out of juice boxes... I heard a weird noise and happened to have the camera handy.. looks like squeezing juice upside down onto the fireplace and floor is ALOT of fun... or so he thought!
All I want for Christmas is SOME FOOD!
So all of December I have been looking forward to our WONDERFUL afternoon lunch at the GrovePark Inn in Asheville, NC.. for those of you who haven't been this is what it looks like :
ANYWAYS we got reservations for our $50.00 a plate Christmas lunch MONTHS ago because they get booked up in the summer.. thats how GREAT the food is there and the atmosphere.. anyways... we made our reservations for 2:00 in the afternoon knowing we would want to do Christmas with our families in the morning and that would give us plenty of time for the 2 1/2 hour drive to Asheville... WELL things changed Christmas morning... NO one ate breakfast because we were saving room for our 50 dollar meal and wanted to eat until we literally popped...so an hour and a half into our drive it starts snowing...
It reminds me alot on the inside of the Biltmore.. They go all out and the decorations are just fabulous!
we were all getting excited about how fun it was to be going to the Grove Park and to see snow and all... 30 minute later.... LOTS of snow..
to be accompanied by a telephone call saying they were calling for a freakin BLIZZARD!! I didn't care because I was about to eat the Sonic peppermints I had stashed in the glove box I was so hungry and poor Ryder was about to eat his poor little paci! Its now almost 1:00 and were all STARVING.. we thought it was in our best interest to turn around and leave our reservations and 50 dollar plates of food and fun behind... turning around for what else... FRIED CHICKEN AT A GAS STATION....
We arrived about 45 minutes at this gas station...only it was Christmas and who would eat FRIED CHICKEN FROM A GAS STATION for their Christmas meal??!?! I guess no one because they weren't selling any fried chicken on Christmas... GO FIGURE.. next option at almost 2:00?? Ryans a half hour away.... We pull into Ryans.. parking lot EMPTY... next best thing a Ruby Tuesdays happened to be opened across the street and lets just say they didn't know what hit them.. we had a fabulous meal for half the price we would have paid at the Grove Park.. was the food better? I think we thought so just because when you would eat a handful of peppermints for a meal anything would taste better.. I think everyone bought steaks just knowing that steaks at Ruby Tuesdays wouldn't compare to all the money we would have spent on that good ole' Grove Park food... Here are some pictures from our fun day...by the way we ate around 2:30.. we were STARVING!
Christmas Morning!!
Can you tell he just woke up??
I thought his eyes were going to pop out!
He knew EXACTLY what to do..
This was him for the next 20 minutes, he would NOT get out! I think we got a good gift!
He loved his pirate ship too!
Eric and I were SO excited for Ryder to see his jeep and pirate ship! I sat on the couch so I could get his first impressions when he walked down the hall.. here are some pictures!!
Once we got him out of his Jeep we opened up his stocking, we had got him a TON of stuff for bath time since its his favorite part of the day!
My sister and I found these SUPER cool bath color drops and Ryder LOVED them!
But after about 5 minutes the water turned BLACK! looked pretty disgusting!!
All in all Ryder had a fabulous morning!!
