Football Season!

Last night marked the beginning of Football Season! This makes our life EXTREMLY busy and EXTREMLY fun!! On Thursday nights we go to Tanner's games (and try to go to Kyle's when their schedules are different) and on Friday nights we go watch Dick (Derek) play! It is soo much fun!

It was funny to see how this year would change with how Ryder interacted at the games....last year he just ran around and I had to chase after him...but this year??? Oh he just likes to watch the cheerleaders :)

And have some fun!

They ended up losing their first home game (to a public school) BUT it went into overtime and was a close game! One of their teammates also broke his leg in the game so Ryder got to see the ambulance come too! What and EXCITING night!!

Father/Son Football Chick-Fil-A Night

Let me start out by saying I LOVE ME SOME CHICK-FIL-A!! The chick-fil-a by our house does some awesome family things, and one of them is mother/daughter, father/son, and father/daughter nights. (I have been AFTER them about mother/son night because I mean COME ON totally not fair!! They have promised me that its coming up but I am pretty sure thats just to shut-me-up and stop asking! ha!) Tonight was the father/son night, and they did it football theme. Supposedly they had a blast... I wouldn't know because Ryder told me "No gerls awoud!" But I did manage to snap a couple of pictures before they left, and lo and behold Eric did too! He's learning isn't he?? :)

This one is my favorite of them..how cute!

Eric said they gave these little face stickers like the "real" football players..(I have NO idea what they are really called!)

Paul and Ethan went ...

And Matt and Caleb! Jon and Jarrod went too but I guess Eric was too far away from them to get a picture! He said it was such a fun night!!...I'm counting down the days until the so called "mother/son" night!

Adoption Update**

I just realized that I never blogged about our homestudy. For those who are interested you should know I spent all of Friday morning running after 3 toddlers, picking up every toy they put down, and cloroxing from floor to ceiling. To only be met by such a sweet lady who could have cared less and was so nice and welcoming I felt like I was at her home not mine! She started by saying, "I think we know some of the same people", and then asked me how I knew my aunt Pam... I said, "umm she's my aunt!!" It really is a small world, and  I felt like we were friends in a weird way! She asked a few questions and went over our paperwork to make sure she understood it the way we intended, and that was all! She came back one more time on Monday (the 20th) to meet Eric and ask him a few questions and then we were done! We are now waiting on 3 signatures and our kid/s!! I am so excited "our work" is done and we are just waiting! It feels like all the weight is gone from running from one inspection to the next! I ran across this quote today and just LOVED it! Sometimes I wonder if we would have done something faster, or slower, or all the "what if's" and the truth is, "It took each and every situation you have encountered to bring you to the now. and now is right on time."

A Day with Nana and Pa!

Today we had an open house for our house (go figure) and so we needed to be gone for a few hours. We decided it was the perfect time to visit Nana and Pa and Becky! Ryder had such a fun time hammering, riding the tractor, and driving the boat!! (In the garage of course) He was so excited to play he didn't even eat his lunch!

Isn't that just the cutest little boy ever??! He was so happy to be playing on Pa's boat!

He was catching "worms" here!

Pa always gets a good workout when we come to visit... he has a little shadow that doesn't leave his side!

Tucker felt left out of all the fun!

Ryder and Pa picked gords(spelling??) and Pa showed him how to hammer nails into it, which was pretty entertaining...that was until....

Pa brought out the tractor... this one takes the cake!

And he was out like a light before we turned out of their driveway! If only he slpet that good for us at home!...maybe we should buy a tractor...or a guest house for Nana and Pa! :)

Ryders 3rd Birthday Party!

We had Ryder's 3rd birthday party at the Splash Pad at the YMCA. It was so much fun and it was nice just to let the kids play and play and not really have to worry too much about what they were getting into! I owe alot of my ideas to PINTEREST but who doesn't?? :) He had such a fun time and we had so many friends and family come celebrate his special day! Thanks to everyone who came out! It was a blast!

This was blue jello with gummy fish inside.. I wasn't too smart and put these on the table in the sun and it melted :( So by the time the kids ate it, they had to drink it! I was a little bummed! But they still loved having the fish inside!

If anyone needs an AMAZING cake I know the guy!! Let me know and I will get you his info!!

This is Ryder AFTER he threw a cup of water on Nana, he ran up to her to tell her he was "Sorry" :)

Hilarious!!

This was everyone's reaction after he threw it on her :)

In the kids' goody bags, there was a Pirate hat, a pirate sword, an eyepatch, tatoos, pirate gold, and treasure candy jewelry!

I think the parents had just as much fun as the kids!!

Now...about those toys...what to do with them all??!?!?!?!?
