Oh Charlie!

So I bought a pool for Ryder from Walmart for $15.00 when I got it out and started filling it up it was HUGE!!! Eric was not too happy about it and said our backyard looked "trashy" I told him that he isn't the one at home all day with an adventurous little boy who likes to be outside in the 120 degree weather so tough luck! BUT we have another member of our family who enjoys it WAY more than Ryder! :) She jumps in every chance she gets...

What started off as a stormy nasty day turned into a BEAUTIFUL cool breeze blowin kind of afternoon! Ryder and I hung out mostly on the porch swingin and playin in the sandbox! He LOVES my webcam on my computer so we had some fun! Enjoy

What a DAY!

SO today started off with me going grocery shopping.. this is my normal Wed routine, because the ads come out on Wed and I like to get their first to get all of the sale items so I'm not stuck getting a bunch of rain checks...(like you really had an interest on why I grocery shop on Wed??) well Ryder and I had gone to our first grocery store and were on our way to Walmart.. SO I am walking in the store towards the back to get some milk when all of the sudden I fall! It was actually pretty graceful and I landed on my knees while still holding on to the grocery cart. When I looked down to see what I slipped on, their was this blue stuff all over the floor! There was a worker a little ways away from me so I walked over to her (upset I might add) and said, look I just fell over there where all of that blue stuff is, yall really need to clean it up before someone else does (with an attitude of course) She apologised and went to clean it up, I looked down and theirs my son squiriting blue shampoo all over Walmarts floors. HORRIFIED I turned to see if anyone was watching picked up the shampoo and skidaddled out of that store as FAST as I could! Talk about embarassing!

When we got home I was in a hurry to get the house cleaned, shower and get ready for the Teacher of the year ceremony. I was running through the house when I kept smelling something on fire, I walked through the house and narrowed it down to just our bedroom. I walked around the bedroom and was convinced it was coming through the airvent so I ran up to the attic with my towel on and all. I looked everywhere and couldn't see anything like a fire.. when I went back into the bedroom the smell was getting worse so I called my dad to see if he was close and could come help me figure out what it was, well he wasn't and he suggested that I go outside to see if something was burning outside...when I went out I didn't smell it at all, so I walked back into the bedroom and went to the lamp to see if it was on fire, nope, checked my hair dryer and curling iron, nope then I looked up at the air vent again, out of the corner of my eye I saw smoke and realised my celing fan was ON FIRE! thankfully I put the fire out! and we are safe and sound ... Eric thinks the motor went bad but regardless I am just thankful that I didn't leave that light or fan on when I went grocery shopping for a couple of hours today or I wouldn't have a home or my sweet little Gracie :( Thankfully we are all fine! WHEW what a day!

SC Teacher of the Year!

SO my aunt Becky won her school's teacher of the year, and then went on to win her District Teacher of the Year! I didn't realize how big of a deal it was until tonight one of the Directors stopped to talk to us and congratulated her, and said "Just think, out of the 50,000 teachers we have in this state you made it to the top 87! Thats pretty awesome! We had SUCH a fun time!

Meme babysat Ryder until Eric got home so it was a fun girls night! Which I don't get very often!

Becky even got to walk in a PARADE with all of the winners!!.. WE couldn't stop laughing!! THE RED CARPET AND ALL! :)

The room was GORGIOUS!

 We went to two receptions and then the BIG dinner.. the food was FABULOUS! the cake was too good for words.. thankfully I left half of it on my plate because I have been counting calories and I wouldn't have been able to eat next week at all.. I'm hoping that without eating for the rest of this week I'll be on target! HA!...

the Govenor was even there to present the award! Becky had to walk across the stage and to our dismay we weren't allowed to yell and hollar :( Oh well, we had a great time! Here are some pictures!

This bag has the FUNNIEST story.. when we got to the first reception at the Hilton Hotel (where all of the winners got free hotel rooms... EXCEPT Becky decided not to stay the night) Becky got some gifts, a plaque, a picture, and this Piggly Wiggly bag... so all of the OTHER winners took their goodies up to their rooms BUT Becky who decided NOT to get a hotel room divided up her goodies among us to carry.. well ACTUALLY I put everything I could fit in my purse and my mom got stuck with this bag.. let me just tell you all that this bag weighed 10 pounds, it had a bottle of water, an orange, a box of noodles, and a granola bar along with other random things... Just to help you get the picture, everyone is dressed in ball gowns and here comes my mom holding this Piggly Wiggly bag like its her purse! HOW embarassing!

All in all we had a FABULOUS night!

Easter!

We woke Ryder up to his Easter basket full of balls... his FAVORITE thing! He was very excited! He looked just darling in his Easter outfit but of course I couldn't get him to stand still for 2 seconds to take a picture.. its alright I suppose, boys will be boys. WE had a fabulous lunch at my moms and the kids went on an Easter egg hunt and Ryder just took his time and opened up every egg and got the candy out and then threw the egg shell on the ground. Easter Egg Hunt AGAIN!

Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt with my grandma, mom, and Trevor... there were TONS of people there close to 1000 at a church in Chapin... We put our names in a drawing to win a Tv or Grill and so we had to stay until 11:30 to be elegible... they drew my name FIRST but it was only for a gift certificate to a SPA!! I dont care I could use some time at the SPA!! Eric about died.. he said out of all the things I could have won (there were only 5 prizes, a spa gift certificate, a picture package, a fishing trip, a tv, and a grill) I of course won the spa! Ha! Hey atleast I won something!! How cool was that!!!!?! Ryder had a blast although I think he just ate candy and snacks the whole time! HA! BUT he was TERRIFIED I mean TERRIFIED of the Easter Bunny!! Poor things whole body was shaking and shaking!

Making Easter Cookies!

 Friday it rained ALL day here and I had the girls that day ALL day.. a bad day to be stuck inside but we made the best of it and I let them make Easter cookies and put sprinkles on them.... well more like put sprinkles on the floor!! I knew it would make a mess but sometimes kids just need to be able to make some messes! Here are a few pictures!

Fun Day at the Zoo & Happy LATE birthday Nana!

I just wanted to say happy LATE birthday to my Nana... NOW were even :)

Today we took the kids to the zoo and it was REALLY busy but we had alot of fun! It was actually pretty easy with 3 kid believe it or not! They all had a fun time and I am POOPED!! Here are some fun pictures!

Easter Egg Hunt!

 I was trying to think of fun things to do with the kids and HELLO Easter is right around the corner so why not a Easter egg hunt?!?! They had a BLAST Ryder kept picking them up and saying BALL BALL and putting them into his bucket.. It was soo cute I am so glad he had friends to "hunt" with too!
