Hospital Update Day #4

So this week has literally been awful! Everything that could go wrong has! Well I ate today around 2 oclock for the first time in well over 48 hours. I was starving feeling nautious and exhausted. The nurses still have to come in alot to check my vitals, and every morning at 4am I get blood drawn. Well the excitement started yesterday early early morning when I couldn't move my arm. They thought I might have gotten a bloodclot in my vein from my IV so they took it out. Which will make my hospital stay even longer because they had to stop the medicine. They sent an IV team up and they realized they had to do a picc line which if you dont know what that is they put an ultrasound machine on my arm to find veins and then they literally like operate on you. My mom had to wear a mask and hat and the whole thing. I have pictures :). They cut into your arm and stick a needle down to the vein, then they put a tube through your vein down to your heart where they can use that as an IV. It actually didn't hurt all I felt was the 2 inch needle to numb me *NOT EXAGERATING*. Then I had to do my colonoscopy which was my 15th what a milestone haha. The good news is they didn't see any sign of crohns but my ulcerative colitis is still severe and surgeory is still the only option. The dr is sending the surgeons in today, and if I dont have any sign of being better in a couple days they are going to do surgeory right here now which they said I'll be here for another 5-8 days. So I am just kind of trying to have fun but realy not feeling good. Here are some pictures though.. and yes they had to use a condom to put over the ultrasound machine which the nurses thought was hilarious and my mom's eyes were huge it was quite funny. The nurse wouldn't let me NOT get a picture of it.

Hospital Time

Well I am currently in the hopsital fun fun right... not really. I went to my dr's appointment up at unc yesterday and they decided to go ahead and admit me for 5 to 8 days. They are giving me what they say is our "last hope" before surgeory. Like most of the medication I'm on it's for leukemia patients but for some reason its suppose to help heal your colon. I have to get it through IV and it has alot of bad reactions so I have to be watched carefully. Last night I got absolutely no sleep. They came in every fifteen minutes to do my blood pressure, temperature, and pulse check. Then I had to get bloodwork at 4am this morning for the 3rd time in 24 hours :) So I am exhausted and on top of being stuck in the hospital Eric is at home working and I'm here with my mom, which is good, but it's not like Eric. Exspecially because this is our first time apart since the wedding. So I'll keep everyone updated on whats going on. I am meeting with the surgeon sometime this week just to get the ball rolling in case this med doesn't work. This is a funny picture. It took us 6 hours to finally be put in a room and we guessed it took so long because of the cleaning ladies making me an elephant :)

Family Update

I know we haven't posted in a while but we broke our camera on accident.... Eric and I are hanging in there. After the doctor's visit they said if I didn't get better by May 27th I would have to have surgeory and that they would have to take out my entire large intestines because its spreading further. Which honestly at this point I'm ready to have it and this be over with. I find out for sure May 27th though they are runing a bunch of tests to make sure that its not in my small intestine, if not I meet with the surgeon to set up a date. Keep praying for us please and thank you everyone for your prayers and comments! I want to reply to your comments but I forgot my password and the only way i can sign in to blog is because it's automatically saved on my computer! thank you all!
