Just for Jessi

Jessi we know your mising out on being here to see Ryder so Mommy and I had a little fun with photoshop :) Enjoy!

Nana and Pa and Becky

Nana and Pa and Becky came to visit today and Ryder slept in Nana's arms almost the entire time! Ryder is their first "Great" grandchild. They brought us a delicious lunch which was nice so we didn't have to cook. Thank you!

Bath Time!

Ryder has been peeing on us quite often which is really humerous...last night he peed on us and it went squiriting from the changing table and sprayed all over the wall. I thought Eric and I were going to pee on ourselves too!! So we had to do a bath...and yes he has a rash but the doctor said its completely normal and will go away....

First Doctor's Appointment

Yesterday we had Ryder's first doctors appointment. It went great he was such a good baby and just looked around the entire time. He weighs 6 pounds 12 ounces which is actually an ounce more than the day we left the hospital so that was good news. The doctor said everything is perfectly normal and he is doing great! He had to get his first shot which was sad but he was a good sport and only cried for a second. Here are a few pictures of him in the waiting room.

P.S. I know I'm a little "biased" but don't I have the cutest boy in the world!?!

Were Home!

We got home today around 1:30 and are adjusting to life without a nurse 24/7! Everything is going very smoothly and were so happy to finally be at home...wish us luck in our first night! Thankfully my mom is here and is helping us out!

P.S. Grace is doing great! She even sat by Ryder on my lap while I breastfed. Everytime he would cry she would try to lick him to help him stop! She's being a good big sister!

Ryders Here

Ryder arrived on August 17th at 3:19pm. He weighed 7 pounds and was 19 1/2 inches long. He is SUPER cute! :) I got pitocin at 8 am and they broke my water right away...I started getting contractions as soon as the water broke they were about 4 minutes apart. Around 11 I asked for an epidural because it was KILLING me, and it of course didn't work. They kept trying to figure out why and finally gave me another epidural round 2 o'clock. At 2:30 Ryders heart rate was dropping and I was put on oxygen and the doctor came in and said she needed to check me because Ryder wasn't doing very well. By this time I was about to die with BOTH epidurals still not working I thought I was going to have to have a c-section and had been through all that for nothing. She checked me and said well no wonder he's not happy your 10 cm and you need to start pushing! I was freaking out because the epidurals weren't working but was like whatever lets get this overwith. As soon as the doctor came back for me to start pushing my legs had gone completely numb and BOTH epidurals had kicked in. The delivery was quite humerous we all just sat their and carried on a conversation. I didn't feel anything so it was very relaxing. The doctor said it was the calmest delivery she ever had. I only pushed for 20 minutes and Ryder arrived! While I was pushing, we were waiting for another contraction and his head had just stuck out a little bit, and the doctor said, look at all this hair, he needs a mohawk and literaly pushed his hair straight up and gave him a mohawk! it was soo funny, so after everything was done we had our precious little boy! I am feeling alot better today, yesterday they said I lost more blood than they would have liked and I almost passed out in the bathroom, but today is going smoothly! Thanks for all the prayers and of course here are some pictures!!

Dr. Update

Everything was the same at the doctors today so we went ahead and scheduled my induction unless Ryder decides to come earlier! We go into the hospital at 5:30 on Sunday, and hopefully will have a healthy baby boy Monday morning/afternoon!

Hospital Goodies

So I saw this totally cute idea on kellyskornerblog before she had Harper in january. I thought that it was such a cute idea and nice to give something to all the friends and famiy that come to see you and your little one in the hospital...so Eric and I stayed up until 11:30 last night making these. It was really fun and although their not perfect like hers I thought that the cookies and "pretzel cigars" turned out really cute!

HAHAHAHA

So my homepage on my internet is msn.com. I have no idea why I just have never changed it to something that I actually look at on a daily basis. Well I just logged on to update my blog and this was one of the main things on the page.....

If your out their "bumpaholic" more power to ya!

Doctor Update!

Sorry I forgot to post about my last doctor's visit on Thursday. It was alot better news then what I had been receiving which was that basicaly nothing was happening :(. She told me I was 100% effaced and 2 cm dialated!! AND she said he was all the way down and she could feel his head!! how WONDERFUL was that?! I ALSO started having a few contractions Thursday night and off and on Friday as well as a few today. Nothing consistent...but hopeful that everything will continue to progress!!! My next appointment is Wednesday although I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I might see her before then!

Mclinky Tuesday

This week's Blog Hop is your favorite quote, spiritual passage , life lesson, saying, PHOTO or encouraging thought.

MckLinky Blog Hop
One of my favorite encouraging things is the "Footprints in the Sand Poem" I just love how quick we are to think God has left us in our hard times, but realy he's always there no matter what. Enjoy :)
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

38 week/ 9 1/2 months Pregnant!

Sorry this picture is bad, but Eric randomly took it today goofing around and I realized I hadn't even done a 9 month picture. So I figured I better post it now before I forget!

You Scream, I Scream, We all Scream for ICE CREAM!

This afternoon, Amanda, Paul, and Addison stopped by for a visit. While we were playing/watching design star/watching Tiger Woods I heard a little noise. So I made everyone be quiet and I said "ITS THE ICE CREAM TRUCK!" Eric said "No its not" and sure enough, here comes the ice cream truck down our street!! So we all ran outside and got our favorite cold treats!
