Early Birthday Present

So Eric got me an early birthday present... a BREAD MAKER!! I have been wanting one FOREVER! I was sooo excited to try out my first recipe Honey Wheat Bread... My bread maker even came with an option for EXPRESS breadmaking which takes place in an hour! A HOUR! How exciting :)

....I forgot to read the PS on about the EXPRESS bread....**DO NOT use active Yeast, it will not rise**

Sooooo round 2 should be done around 11:30 tonight and I told Eric he better stay up and if he's asleep I am waking him up! 

Poor Ryder kept saying "I want a piece! I want a piece" He didn't understand why he couldn't eat any! Poor guy!... If I thought he'd go back to sleep after I would wake him up, I would wake him up at 11:30 too!!

Hopefully I will have an update about how YUMMY my second batch was at midnight tomorrow :)

19 Months Old

So I am a few days late but I couldn't NOT post a monthly update :)

Ryder you are 19 months old! Here is what you are up to these days:

 *You weigh 24 pounds

*You are 33 inches long

*You wear a size 4 diaper (although its pretty big on you, but you were leaking through the 3's so Mommy had to bump you up!)

*You wear size 12 month pants/shorts and even some 6-9 month shorts!! You wear 18 month tops and even some 24 months!

*You LOVE LOVE LOVE to sing and dance with Mommy.. your favorite songs are the ABC's, Ring around the Rosie, Handy Manny theme song, Mickey Mouse, and the Itsy Bitsy Spider

*You can count to 5 but only do it randomly

*Yesterday you picked up your play phone and said, "Hewoe?? Pops?? Hewoe Pops? and I said are you talking to Pops and you said uh huh, and I said can I talk to Pops and you grabbed the phone and said "No-No" TOO FUNNY!

*You have just started jumping with both feet off the ground and LOVE to!

*You are HILARIOUS! the other day I was shopping and looking at clothes (of course right?) and I wasn't even paying attention until I heard some people laughing and I turned around and you were pulling on shirts and going, "oohh wow!" and then putting it back and pulling out another and saying "oh boy" haha I think mommy's shopping is rubbing of on you!

*You LOVE to be outside, but lately when we go outside you say, "HOT! mommy HOT!" I couldn't agree with you more child!

*You have suddently turned into a Daddys boy, EVERYWHERE we go you yell Daddeeeeee Daddeeeeee.. its really cute... unless he's not with us and you don't stop the ENTIRE time were at walmart.. then it looks like I've kidnapped you!

*Ever since you were sick you go to bed around 8pm wake up at 9am and take a 2 hour nap!! Whatever happend during that time I am FOREVER grateful!! BOY have I got SOO much done... I've totally caught up on ALL my TV shows! around the house of course!

*You are OBSESSED with Toy Story and Monsters Inc... I think were going to be doing one of those for your birthday... we'll have to see

*You just started giving me kisses ...you've done this on occasion but now everytime I ask I either get a puckered up kiss or a mouth open kiss.. either way MELTS my heart... and the fact that after each kiss you either say, "AWWW, or Mmmm" I could just eat you up! 

I am LOVING you right now sooo much! We are having a blast at home and I am SOO happy to be here with you!!!

Soccer Time!

We went to Addison's first soccer game today! As soon as we got there we realised we had made a BIG mistake by not bringing one of our own soccer balls for Ryder to play with. He just did not understand why all the other kids got to kick the soccer ball but he had to stay on the sidelines and watch! Thankfully we found one that they weren't using... it just didn't do it for him though, the whole time he was trying to run on the field with everyone else! Addison did a great job though and it was alot of fun to watch her! I can't wait for Ryder to be able to  do things like that!

Sand Time!

Since my PA (cough cough) is taking a LITTLE bit longer than expected on Ryders PIRATE SHIP sand box :) I had to take matters into my own hands this afternoon... this is what I came up with :) It turned out pretty swell if I do say so myself.. I've been outside IN THE SHADE sitting in front of the door with the air conditioning blowing on me (this is the ONLY way I like to be outside-not sunny-cool, VERY cool) ... tell me I am not a genius!!

We even saw a lizard!

Its going to be a good day.... I HOPE!

Ryder woke up in a bad mood! I think he just needed some food because he seems to be getting happier now that he's eating cinnamon rolls! ALTHOUGH we have to go to the dermatologist in about an hour which will be VERY interesting! Wish me luck! speaking of luck.. HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY!

What do ya do??

So I think I am going to have to go back to putting Ryder in his crib when I take a shower in the mornings... this morning we over slept so all I did was wash my hair in the bathtub.. this is literally a 2 minute process.... in these 2 minutes this is what managed to happen.. ENJOY :) (by the way when I came around the corner he immediately started crying knowing he had been bad)

Ball Games

Eric and I decided to take Ryder for a walk tonight after dinner since he is feeling so much better and almost back to his normal self.. we walked over to the baseball fields behind our house and Ty was playing.. we also got to see Trevor who is Ryders FAVORITE! I dont think Trevor is too fond of Ryder stealing his spotlight since he is the youngest now, but Ryder sure does adore him! Here are some pictures!

Sick Baby

Poor Ryder has been such a sick little boy! His fever finally broke Sunday morning but he was still pretty sick until this afternoon.. By tonight he was back to his FUN self! :) I am SOO EXCITED to have my little man back!

Stomach Bug

Ryder and I sadly got the stomach bug AGAIN! This is the second time in less than 3 months and I am SOO tired of it! I thought we were free and clear yesterday and we even ventured out of the house last night to dinner, and then the mall BUT Ryder woke up around 12 last night throwing up and didn't go back to sleep until 4AM!! We are both SO exhausted and I am hoping that we are YET again OVER this! I'm not ready to take Ryder out again today just yet so I decided to set up a little water fun in the kitchen. I saw this on a blog I read, about "indoor" fun with your kids... I put some ice in a bowl and then gave Ryder spoons, and measuring cups to move the ice and water from container to container.. well it kept him occupied for atleast an hour so I think we'll do this more often!!

Zoo Time..

Last week Ryder and I went to the zoo... It was probably the most relaxing visit I've had there. There was literally NO ONE there and Ryder and I just took our time. Ryder has started running through the woods instead of on the paths so its a little harder keeping up after him but what can I say - he's definetly a boy! We also got to see a lady feeding the fish in the aquarium which was really neat! She was really nice and kept bringing the fish in front of Ryder so he could see and kept waving at him, like I said we were the only ones there so we got some "special" attention! :)  We stayed almost 3 hours and decided to eat lunch there too. We had alot of fun! Here are some pictures!

Build-A-Bear

Eric and I took Ryder to the mall tonight to get some energy out and to get a buid-a-bear... Ryder has never made one and so we decided to let him. He immediately picked out the monkey and started going who-who-he-he-who (monkey noise) we even found a noise machine you can put in it that makes the monkey noise! Its sooo cute! When we got home he said who-who-he-he night night so we put him to sleep in his crib and turned the light off... I think it was a hit! :) I didn't have my camera with me I know gasp! BUT I did get some pictures on my AWFUL camera phone!

***UPDATE**

Today I was sitting in the doctors office for Ryders 18 month check up and Ryder brought me a book to read.. It was a page full of robots so I started counting.. I said, "One.." and Ryder goes, "Two, Twee, Pour" ..I said WHAT DID YOU SAY!?!?! I thought for sure I was halucinating and so I said, "One.." and he pointed to another one and said, "Two, Twee, Pour" I hope no one was too terrified to hear an adult scream but I could NOT believe that he was counting!! So I still thought maybe I was going crazy/hearing things so I called my mom.. he only counted to three on the phone but STILL I couldn't believe he could count at all! HA!


I wanted to put this on my blog of a few new things Ryder is doing so I dont forget!

*Ryder has been coming to me , my mom, eric, pops, whoever and getting their finger and pulling them to what he wants.. most of the time he pulls me to the bathroom door and says, "I need a bath" or pulls me to the fridge and says, "Eat? Eat?"

*Ryder said "I love you" yesterday for the first time and of course it was to me! :) I was about to go to dinner with all of my old co-workers from the bank for an award that we won while I was still there and I said Ryder be good for daddy I love you, and he said I lub you loud and clear!... I think my heart burst at that moment

*We have a little pond/hole right outside our door that has lily pads in it and a lizard evidently fell in and died and Ryder saw it and I told him that he was just sleeping, so now EVERYTIME you walk outside he puts his finger over his mouth and says shhhhhh shhhhh wizard wizard shhhh shhhh its soo cute... but its starting to get a little old! HA!

*Now when you ask Ryder like, Hey do you want to go inside? he will say No No.. its the cutest thing.... The other night I went to get Ryder from Grams and Pops because he was having a little seperation anxiety and when I got there I said did you have fun with Grams and Pops and he said, No.. we all laughed..

*Everytime you stay at Grams and Pops lately you go around the house looking for pictures of me and then you start sobbing and pointing at me.. She said that you walk around the ENTIRE house until you've seen all of my pictures, and then you just start again...You are SOO funny.. Grams said she's going to have to take all of my pictures down and hide them before you go to stay with them!



These days..

Ryder and I have been hanging out around the house these past few days although we did go to the zoo yesterday, and I will post some pictures later of that.. however I did get a new computer last week that has a webcam and Ryder is TICKLED over the camera and how he can see himself on the screen.. WE have also discovered skype and have been talking to friends in Korea, Virginia (uncle dan ) and here in town.. it is SOO much fun! If you have skype and want to chat with us we would LOVE to! my username is Alishanharris .. anyways here are some pictures from our webcam over the last few days! As you can see he is pretty much in LOVE with his mommy .. I am trying to capture every moment with him in this stage because I know it won't last forever :(.. but boy are we having fun while it does!
